We wish to say a HUGE congratulations to 2 of our students Gabriella Macallister and Lydia Robinson who made us very proud this week! They both passed their RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam with wonderful results. Gabriella a Distinction and Lydia a Merit! Well done girls!

We have now recieved our confirmed Ballet examination dates from the Royal Academy of Dance. These are:

Saturday 20th November

Saturday 11th December

Sunday 12th December

Please put these dates in your diary. As soon as we have the groups scheduled and allocated to a specific time and day, we will let you know.

This year’s summer school was a whirlwind of dance, gymnastics and glitter in the art room! All of our summer school students had the opportunity to learn some gymnastics with Tasha, our guest teacher from the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics. This was clearly a hit with everyone, especially the use of the trampette!

Miss Charley was with us again all week this year, taking the students to the art room to participate in drawing, colouring, painting and decorating; culminating in the students having made and/or decorated their own costumes and the back drop for their performance.

We also had Miss Genevieve with us this year introducing all our students to modern dance, and the students really enjoyed working with her!

We are immensely proud of all of our students, the final performance went without a hitch and whilst it was an exhausting week for all involved it was 100% worthwhile.

We would also like to mention and thank Michelle Godwin who was with us all week tirelessly making and adjusting costumes and assisting us generally throughout the week. Also, our group of fabulous Mums who offered their assistance during the week, we could not have done it without you!

DON’T FORGET:

All students wishing to take RAD Ballet exams must have their slips returned to us by the end of July.

It is essential that we have our final numbers by Saturday July 31st.
